On the 7th and 8th of February 2019, an explanatory meeting on Chapter 7 - Intellectual Property Law was held in Brussels as part of an already initiated verification process for launching accession negotiations with the European Union.
The delegation led by the Chief Technical Negotiator of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Bojan Maricic, and the Director of the State Office of Industrial Property, Safet Emruli, at the two-day meeting, had the opportunity to hear all the necessary elements whose fulfillment is a necessary condition for setting the negotiating positions of the Republic of North Macedonia in relation to Chapter 7 - Intellectual Property Law.
Part of the delegation were also representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Justice, Customs Administration, Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, State Statistical Office, as well as representatives of the institutions that are part of the working group for Chapter 7 - Intellectual Property Law.
