Patent of the Year 2005 event which traditionally awards the "Patent of the Year", the twelfth time, held on 05 December 2005. the hotel "Aleksandar Palace". The event was attended by senior representatives of the Government, the President of Parliament, heads of other institutions, embassies and non-governmental organizations.

The "Patent of the Year Award" for the best invention for 2005 were awarded to inventors Dr. r.Dzhoko Kungulovski and Ivan Kungulovski the invention, treatment plant for biological treatment of municipal and industrial water relegated any lower in sekventen modular system using bioactive silt enriched with mixed cultures of microorganisms.'' Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of inventors awarded prize, green leaves cast in bronze'', which is also the symbol of the ministry.
