26th of April, the World Intellectual Property Day, was marked by the State Office of Industrial Property of the Republic of Macedonia holding the traditional manifestation "Patent of the Year - 2017". At the event participated inventors, representatives of the IPR and other representatives directly or indirectly involved in the process of protection of intellectual property rights.
In the welcoming speech, the Director of the Office, Mr. Safet Emruli addressed the guests and presented the latest activities in the field of industrial property as well as pointed out the future activities that will be undertaken for improving the work of the Office as well as the activities that the Office will undertake in order to raise public awareness of the significance and benefits of industrial property rights.
The traditional award "Patent of the Year - 2017" was granted to the inventor Victor Nastev for the invention "Device with electric or pneumatic movement of a folding mechanism for initiating speed reduction of vehicles". The inventor, Mr. Nastev addressed the present guests and presented his invention as the application of the same.
Also at this manifestation, the Deputy director of the Office, Mr. Goran Gerasimovski, distributed the awards to the Macedonian women inventors won at the International exhibition of women inventors "KIWIE 2017".
