The State Office of Industrial Property and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are strengthening the co-operation in the fight against piracy and infringement of industrial property rights.
In today's meeting between the Director of the State Office of Industrial Property Goran Gerasimovski and the Minister of Internal Affairs Oliver Spasovski was discussed the role, activities and applications handled by the Coordinating Body for Industrial Property at SOIP and further cooperation between institutions in the field of digital media and social networks through the Sector for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The purpose of the SOIP is to strengthen the cooperation between the Coordination Body and all relevant institutions in order to expedite the processing in resolving cases that reach the Coordination Body. Only through mutual cooperation and raising public awareness of the need and benefits of protection of intellectual property rights, the violation of intellectual property rights can be stopped.
