Yesterday SOIP participated in the meeting held with the President of the European Patent Office, Mr. Antonio Campinos to talk about strengthening cooperation and increasing flexibility between institutions through digital platforms, as a necessity arising from the current situation caused by COVID-19 and the modernization of the data protection system of the European Patent Office according to the Plan Strategic 2023.
The meeting aimed to inform the Industrial Property Offices about the establishment of a new body by the EPO for monitoring and supervision and will play a role in legal redress in the field of data protection of the EPO.
