Geographical name can be protected for the benefit of foreign natural or legal person and to register the authorized user of a protected geographical name only if those rights are recognized in the countries of origin and if they meet the conditions stipulated by the Law on Industrial Property . These rights foreign natural and legal persons may enjoy when it comes from:

-international treaties ratified by the Republic of Macedonia and - based on a bilateral agreement on mutual protection if so provided by regulations of the country of origin face.
